Obscenity

Song (2020)

A work conceived in times of pandemic and confinement, a necessary work that alludes to the consequences of neoliberal capitalism: atrocious inequality, climate crisis, water scarcity, poverty, hunger, wars, forced migration, labour exploitation, human sacrifice, unlimited waste, greed made law, and institutionalized usury. A dystopian present that augurs a world without people.

Musicians:
Julieta Burgos (vocals)
Lucia Luque Cooreman (violin)
Cristina Alarcón (violin)
Camila Bareilles (violin)
Karina Nuñez (cello)
Fernando Botti (double bass)
Mariano Vega (percussion)

Miguel Bareilles (composition, piano and vocals)

All parts were recorded separately at the artists' homes, using various techniques and devices, and then edited in Berlin by Martec Producciones.
